Bedbugs are one of the most irritating and resilient pests alive, and therefore, the process of their removal should be carried out through an effective strategic approach. It is always good to call professionals for help when handling such an infestation since home remedies are unlikely to provide similar effective results as established solutions. Eradicating bedbugs can be difficult when not handled properly, and their reoccurrence is likely to appear when not treated with appropriate expertise needed for successful extermination. People who have contacted a bedbug exterminator agency can expect various stages to take place during the extermination process, and the three major steps involved in this process include:

Inspection

An individual suffering from bedbug infestation can call a professional pest exterminator service with their relevant details including the address and situation involved. Once this has been done, the company will first send their expertise to assess the case and determine the level of damage, for them to produce an effective solution to the issue. Options will then be given to the customer, and the selected option will be implemented in the area involved.

Implementation

Once the customer has chosen their best extermination method from the alternatives given, the explication involved will determine what is needed during the implementation stage. Sometimes, severe cases may need the occupant of the premises to vacate the residence for some hours to allow for a more undeviating approach. For less extreme instances, individuals may remain inside the house after treatment, although it is good to give professional exterminators enough room to move when dealing with the bedbugs. Residents may help the endeavor by cleaning and vacuuming fabrics in their premises, before keeping it in a safe place free from infestations like plastic zipper bags. Relocating the furniture from the rooms involved may also be needed to enhance the access feasible to exterminators, making sure no hidden nests are forgotten during the process.

Monitoring

Once the removal process is done, the final stage involves examining the results of the treatment to determine the effectiveness of the activity. Well-trained companies in this industry render their customers a free return policy in case their solutions do not have the necessary effect upon its first implementation, though this is not needful in most cases where one has chosen an expert provider of these services. Customers who have received the treatment can observe their property for the next few weeks to make sure the pests have been eliminated and should call their provider upon the first sign of any recurrence. Customers should ensure that the source of the bedbugs has been established and removed from their residence, and the area is kept off during future efforts to prevent reappearance issue regarding this mess.

The after-extermination recommendations

Adhere to the time recommended by the exterminator before returning to your premises

Avoid walking barefoot in areas treated for not less than 48hrs after the extermination

Aerate treated rooms

Routinely check areas treated to see whether there are still bedbugs.

Maintaining a pest-free environment is a crucial task faced by everyone in the hospitality industry. The presence of pest infestation has a damaging effect on the reputation of the organization, financial performance and eventually employee relations. Hotels can become prone to various pests’ issues through infestations of pest such as:

flies,

rodents

cockroaches

bedbugs and

ant

All these pests are becoming a common irritant within hotel accommodations. However, a professional pest exterminator company provide the most effective way of keeping such infestations and issues related to pests away. Below are some of the benefits of hiring a professional pest control and removal company rather than trying to control an infestation yourself:

Health

Pests carry dangerous bacteria and harmful diseases that can prone your customers or staff to illness. For example, a tick can lead to Lyme disease, a condition that brings severe fatigue, extreme sickness and skin disorders. Cockroaches carry E-coli and salmonella on their bodies that can lead to a severe response in individuals with asthma or allergies. Wasps and bees can cause allergic reactions and injuries, whereas ants can contaminate food.

Fewer toxins

Individuals who are not trained in pest control techniques are highly likely to misapply insecticides compared to those who are professionally trained. The outcome is overuse of harmful toxins and an improved ability for pest multiplication. By hiring a professional pest control company, you are minimizing the dangers of pesticides and ensuring quality.

Proper identification and treatment

Different form of chemicals and baits are useful for treating various types of pests. A skilled professional understands the safe amount of chemical to use. In addition, a professional pest control service can find the type of pests that are invading your hotel and determine the most suitable method of exterminating that specific type.

Less discomfort

Spiders, bedbugs and mosquitoes can leave you stinging and itching for days. Most of the over-the-counter choices take longer to control the problem compared to professional-grade choices that a professional pest control company uses. More so, using the store-purchased pesticides can cause illness to your staff and customers. A professional pest control service can help your hotel eliminate the problem without exposing your clients to harmful toxins.

Discovering the source

Exterminating the pests is a two-way process. Removing the initial crop of pests and looking for the source luring them to your property. Professional pest control companies are trained to find the source of infestation and removing it to avoid reoccurrence. Without the two steps, the problem is likely to reoccur.

Although no business owners like to face pest infestation, it is a reality for many. Whenever you have detected bedbugs, cockroaches, spiders, or rodent in your hotel, it is crucial to minimize the risks immediately. Contact a professional pest extermination and removal company for effective commercial pest control.

By the time you notice some pests crawling through your home, it might already be too late. The sign of a single pest can show a much greater problem. A pest control company can help you determine the extent of your problem together with helping you establish a plan to reduce the chances of pest returning. However, you can prevent pest infestation before they have a chance to invade. The following strategies will help you keep your home free from pests during the winter.

Making seasonal checks

Pests look for shelter during cold winter seasons. Therefore it is crucial to check your home for areas that might be susceptible to be the entry point for small animals. Even thick cracks in the foundation or thick holes in the roof can be a way through for squirrels, mice, and other pest and animals to enter your home.

Trimming of tree limbs and branches around your home

Pests like raccoons and squirrels can dash through tree limbs and branches to make their way to your inhabitants. Hiring a professional tree service company to cut back overgrown limbs and branches can eliminate a potential entry point for the pests.

Sealing of holes and openings in your windows and doors

Make sure your doors and windows are properly sealed and insulated to prevent entry of small pests and insects. This will also help in making your home more energy efficient.

Removing wood piles and debris

Small pests and insects normally take shelter in moist and dark places. Therefore, you should not allow mulch or soil to build up near your foundation. Furthermore, ensure you have stored the firewood away from your home.

Securing indoors and outdoors containers

Ensure that the recycling bin and garbage cans are sealed and placed away from your house. If you want to do compost, consider doing it in a top-closed bin, and place it as far away from your home as possible.

Cleaning the kitchen

Make sure you clear foodstuff from all the surfaces, clean the dishes every night and sweep the crumbs away from your floors. Your kitchen could be discerned as a buffet to pest if you are not responsible for keeping it free from food that is easily accessible.

Scheduling routine inspections

Even if you have not noticed any infestation or pest problem, having your home inspected and treated by a professional periodically can help you keep your home free from pest. You can also ask them of the possible infestations of pests such as bed bugs, rodents or termites.

One or two mice peeking out of their hiding house is an adorable sight and for centuries humans have found it impossible to resist their dark eyes and delicate fur. Mice are common household pets that do not do much harm when kept under close supervision.

Trouble starts when they become uninvited guests in our buildings and breed uncontrollably while feeding on everything from wood to papers and soft plastics. They can quickly damage office equipment and chew on electrical wiring resulting in fires. Moreover, they carry diseases like Leptospirosis and Salmonellosis which can at times be fatal.

Don’t Let Them In

The problem with mice is that once they get into your premises forcing them to leave is often an up-hill task. Your best defense against them is to keep them from gaining access to your building and here are a few ideas on how to do that:

Practice Proper Hygiene

Do not leave food lying around your office or premises. Make a habit of emptying all trash cans before you call it a day. You should also encourage your staff and colleagues to store their food in tightly sealed containers. Remember that mice are nocturnal animals that come out to play when the lights go out so make sure you do not lure them into your building with the aroma of somebody’s half-eaten lunch.

Mouse Proof

Conduct a thorough inspection of your building and note any damaged areas through which mice may gain entry. Do not forget to check your ceilings and ducts while you arrange to have the appropriate repairs carried out ASAP.

Besides this, you should barricade your commercial space with rodenticides and traps. You can place cotton balls immersed in peppermint oil at possible entry points. Mice cannot stand its strong smell and will not come near it. Better still you could have peppermint plants in your building provided that your staff and colleagues can tolerate their presence.

De-clutter

The more stuff there is in your building the easier it will be for mice to make a comfortable home for themselves. They will be able to stay hidden for ages before you realize that you have a problem.

Be Alert

If you have had mice issues in the past then you need to constantly check their hideouts to see if they have returned. Believe it or not, mice remember their former neighborhoods. They often ‘spy’ on buildings where they once lived and if they find a way in then you are in for a rude shock.

Take The Fight Outside

Inspect the area surrounding your property for mice burrows and if you are able to identify them then you should immediately begin to eradicate the mice using rodenticides. However, keep in mind that these chemicals are poisonous and can harm unsuspecting animals and children. Exercise caution as you use them and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to the letter.

Let Someone Help You

Tiny as they are, mice often outsmart humans. They are inquisitive little fellas that will investigate everything in their paths. Their sense of smell is highly impressive and in spite of all your efforts they can easily sniff out edible parts of your building and gnaw their way into your space.

Once they are in you can try your luck at kicking them out by yourself but your chances of success may not be very high. This is especially true if you are dealing with a complicated building that has been infested by large numbers of mice.

Your best option is to call in professional pest removers or exterminators. They are trained to deal with the most complex scenarios besides having the tools to deal with the problem head-on. They know that complete eradication of mice is an ongoing process that needs patience and they will avail their services to you until the last mouse is dead and forgotten.

A high quality mattress does not come cheap and when you buy it you expect it to serve you faithfully for many years. Moreover, many leading manufacturers provide you with a warranty that enables you to replace a faulty mattress. But as expected this warranty comes with a lot of strings attached and we are here to educate you on how to keep it valid.

Assuming that there is no need for your mattress to take a trip back to its manufacturer why should you bother to look after it? The reason is simple: for your own good. It has been shown that mattresses are a sanctuary for allergens like dead skin cells, mold, and dust mites.

When these allergens are breathed into sensitive respiratory systems trips to your family doctor become the norm. Whatever your reasons, maintaining a clean mattress is an integral part of general hygiene so allow us to guide you through the process.

Play Your Part and Keep your Home Bed Bugs Free

In a nutshell, keeping your mattress in good shape requires interplay between you and your carpet or mattress cleaner. Let’s begin with what you as an individual can do for your mattress:

Get to Know Your Mattress

Yes, warranties can be a bit complicated but it is advisable that you spend some time reading through yours. This is the only way that you will get to know what is covered and what isn’t. You should also not cut any labels from the mattress because the manufacturer may need to see them if there is trouble.

Support Your Mattress

A great mattress plus a rickety bed equals a load of disappointment. If you want to get the most out of your mattress then you must ensure that you support it well. Check your support for any damage and repair what can be repaired. If push comes to shove then buy yourself a new bed and sleep like a baby.

Cover Your Mattress

When buying a new mattress make sure that you also invest in a high quality mattress protector. It will keep dirt from seeping into the mattress and also maintain the allure of the mattress’s fabric.

Set Some Rules

Do not bring food to bed. This habit is not only bad for your waistline but it also encourages spillages that may ruin your mattress. Along the same lines you should not allow your pets to snuggle with you in your bed.

We are not implying that they are not well taken care of but their fur may get embedded in your mattress causing you unnecessary problems. Most importantly, be careful where you hang out; you don’t want to bring bedbugs home as they can render your beautiful mattress unusable.

Change Your Sheets

Nothing beats the feeling of falling asleep on a clean set of sheets! But you are not the only one appreciating their freshness; your mattress is also celebrating. This is because dirty sheets transfer their grime to your mattress so listen to the experts and don’t sleep on the same sheets for more than two weeks

Clean On The Go

Regularly check your mattress for stains and wash them off promptly using appropriate cleaning agents. You should also make a point of vacuuming the mattress at least once every three months to slow down the accumulation of allergens inside it.

Bring in the Pros

In spite of all your efforts allergens will eventually find their way into the depths of your mattress. Vacuuming and changing your bedsheets will not lure them out. Your only option is to call your carpet or mattress cleaner who has the skills to deep clean your mattress.

Professional cleaners have the equipment to reach the deepest parts of your mattress without damaging it. They also use chemicals that are effective but gentle on its fabric. You need not attempt to deep clean your mattress for yourself. Let the pros handle it because they do it best. If you got a Bed Bugs problem, call the experts at Pest Force now.

BEST STRATEGIES TO KEEP PEST FREE HOME IN SUMMER

Winter is gone, summer is here, of course the best season since with the favorable condition every being feels it right to enjoy and be in action while it lasts. Rodents, pests and bugs are not an exception when it comes to being in action and in fact, they are the best at doing what they do best which is destroying, annoying and worse of all, transmitting diseases that leave people spending even a fortune. It is a sweet feeling to be in summer but it is bad if it is a pest-infected season.

While the season offers the pests, rodents and bugs the right temperatures to breed and multiply, it is wise to be on the lookout and hinder them. Observing cleanliness is always the key thing in keeping away these small but destructive animals but today, there is much ado.

Ways to keep bugs, rodents and pests away from home in summer

At least every house has had the chance of being infested and sometimes it becomes worse that the process of eliminating them becomes a challenge. However, it is wise to take charge before or even after the infestation.

When cleanliness at home ought to be the first option, it is important to know that what surrounds our homes is the number one determinant of the pest infestation. The long grass, poor drainages and improper ways of garbage disposal even if all the mess comes from the neighborhoods it largely affects our clean homes, since rodents and pests breed freely.

Keeping the environment dry in our homes during summer is another way of reducing their chances of multiplying or infesting.

Proper maintenances of our houses are also ways of keeping away bugs especially. The cracked walls small gaps the unfinished structures and walls provide shelter for bugs making them multiply. It is possible to live in a pest, rodents and bugs free ancient house if only one takes the initiative of always doing repairs to the cracked walls, sealing the small gaps and repainting the entire house every summer.

Pests, rodents and bugs infestation strikes when least expected and it is a tradition that when we detect any of these, we always turn to the best known repellents or pesticides which are so poisonous hence can easily risk people’s health once used wrongly. Sadly, the pesticides can be of little help especially if they had bred to great numbers.

When the elimination of pests, bugs and rodents is out of hand, there is always the better option, which is to seek services from professional pest control companies. Today, so many companies have specialized in offering services at homes, offices, hospitals, schools and the general surroundings. These companies offer solutions to any form of pest infestations, which remains the only reliable form of control.

The importance of hiring professional pest control companies

These are the only experts that have the skills and knowledge of what is required in eliminating any form of bugs, rodents and pests. Buying pesticides from outlets has ceased being a solution since some of them have become less effective.

We are leaving in a dynamic world and hence experiencing change too in the manner at which is required to eliminate pests too. The pest removal companies are good at researching on the drugs and chemicals, which are up to date in the quick elimination of pests hence counting them reliable.

Now that pest control companies are largely established, it becomes easy to pick any company of choice to offer services in our homes at any season. The summer season being the best season of pest infestation, these companies are always prepared to meet the demands.

Pest control comes at a fee and especially during summer. Hiring a professional pest extermination company to fumigate and keep away bugs, pests and rodents entails spending money for the services. However, money spent to keep the pest away should not be a subject of regret since it prevents one from living in harsh environments, which leads to unhealthy conditions. In fact, it is wise to make it a habit hiring a professional pest control company every summer to fumigate your house with or without pest, and no doubt pests will automatically never strike.

As a parent, you want your children them to enjoy the things you have worked hard to acquire. However, once intruders get into your living spaces, your health and that of your little ones are at risk. Intrusion comes in the form of pests. These unwanted guests will not only drive you to the edge, but they also carry germs.

Spring – a time to indulge in fun

Spring break comes with loads of goodies for families with kids. There is plenty of fun-filled activities to keep everyone busy. Consider some of these:

Watching movies

Going on a hike

Visits to the park or zoo

Picnics in scenic locations

Inviting some friends over for a barbecue

Indoor movie nights

Unfortunately, with pets having taken over your home, none of these events can happen. As a caring parent, you need to consider hiring professional pest control/extermination services. These are experts who can efficiently help rid your house of bugs that keep threatening to take over your peaceful life.

Cockroaches, rats, ants, bed bugs and bats are just but a few examples of vermin that infest residential and commercial buildings. With pests lingering at the back of your mind, you cannot enjoy spring break. Your children will also get scared at the sight of crawling and flying insects. It is a horrible experience that you would not want kids to go through.

Besides the stress and trauma, bugs are destructive. They can damage your important documents, expensive clothes and even tamper with electric cables. The possibility of children coming into contact with live wires is high, and you cannot live with this reality. As you gather, by now, having pests in your surroundings during spring is something you should not tolerate. Is there a solution? Yes, there is; engage the services of a pest exterminator.

Benefits of Professional Pest Control

One might wonder why they need to spend money on pest control firms yet they can handle the task. Well, under the circumstances, that is a good but an unwise thought. Nonetheless, considering their professional background, pest control firms come with the following benefits:

They use fewer pesticides: As an ordinary person, the first thing you will go for when getting rid of pests is a can of pesticide. You might apply these chemicals only to end up with sick children and damaged surroundings. You could also harm the health of a family pet.

Clean-up: Every vermin control exercise leaves dead rodents and bugs in its wake. Also, there is the issue of droppings from rats, pigeons, and bats. Pest management firms take care of cleaning up after getting rid of bugs leaving you with no hassles.

Money savings: Pests have become increasingly resistant to pesticides. If you are tackling the problem without professional help, you could end up spending money on expensive chemicals. At the same time, these chemicals might end up causing harm to children forcing you to spend more money on treatment.

As much as you will benefit from the skills of a pest control company, you also need to take responsibility. There are simple, yet effective, things you can do to keep bugs away from your home.

Take responsibility for keeping bugs at bay

Cockroaches, ants, spiders and mosquitoes do not just emerge from the blues. Therefore, always be on the alert. For example, if there are pools of water within your compound just know that you are staring at an impending mosquito infestation. You need to drain these pools. A pile of firewood may attract termites and ants. Therefore, move the pile to at least 20 feet away from the wall of your house. On the other hand, trim all shrubs and branches.

Remember, your task is to keep all bugs at bay. Carry out regular maintenance and repairs to windows, chimneys, pipes and vents. Ensure that you dispose of kitchen waste in the right manner. As you hire pest control services, consider having the experts on a retainer basis. This way, they will keep your home under constant surveillance. Let your kids enjoy the spring break this season.
